Children, Youth, & Family

Children & Families
We have Sunday School—called Connect—for children ages 3 through 6th grade on Sunday mornings from 9:40-10:30 am during the school year. Children are always welcome in worship. Activity bags, Spark Bibles, and Children's bulletins are available for children to use during worship. Most worship times include a time for "Welcoming the Children" where children are invited to come up for a short message and prayer. Throughout the year we come together for service events and project, times for worship, and opportunities to grow as a community of faith.

To sign up for Connect, please fill out the following form: Connect Sign-up. Thank you!

Youth
St. Timothy's Middle School and Senior High youth grow together as a community in Christ, study and pray together, serve our neighbors and support one another. Youth opportunities include Sunday School on Sunday mornings (9:40-10:30 am), Confirmation (7th-9th grades) and Imago Dei (Senior High) both on Wednesday nights from 7:00-8:30 pm, as well as monthly fellowship and service opportunities such as lock-ins, retreats, game nights, serving a meal or preparing sandwiches for Loaves and Fishes. Each summer high school students have the opportunity to participate in a week long service trip as well. For more information about the youth program contact Tori Remer via email or phone (608.576.9127).

Confirmation
Confirmation at St. Timothy involves meeting on Wednesday evenings during the 7th and 8th grade years with a small group and an adult leader. During these times we look at prayer and spiritual life, the 10 Commandments, serving others, the sacraments, and how these relate to our lives today. We also get an overview of the Bible. Then in 9th grade, students meet one-on-one in monthly meetings with an adult mentor, looking at worship, service, and faith in daily life. Finally, in the fall of 10th grade, students meet together with their parents to plan for confirmation, as well as writing faith statements and promises.

St. Timothy is a Reconciling in Christ Congregation

Welcome Statement

"There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female...for you are all one in Christ" (Galatians 3:28).

St. Timothy is a Reconciling in Christ Congregation, actively welcoming all to join in the journey of seeking to love God with our whole being, and our neighbors as ourselves. We acknowledge that we have fallen short of this and need ongoing reconciliation. We welcome people of every gender identity and sexual orientation, as well as others who are marginalized. As a congregation, we affirm that all are created in the image of God and we seek to restore all relationships and to grow together in understanding God's love for all.
