Ministries for Children, Youth & Families

Sunday Morning Worship

Children are always welcome in worship. Activity bags, Spark Bibles, and Children’s bulletins are available for children to use during worship. Most worship times include a time for “Welcoming the Children” where children are invited to come up for a short message and prayer.

Wilderness School

On first Sundays of the month after worship, we gather for intergenerational learning time in our Community Room. Each gathering includes prayer, song, bible stories and hands-on, creative time in small groups. Like the Israelites, we are learning how to be God’s people! All ages are encouraged to join. Please reach out to Pastor Liesl if you would be available to help!

God’s Garden Days

Once per month on summer evenings, we gather in the St. Timothy backyard for intergenerational time of Bible story and prayer, outdoor learning and play. Past focuses have included helping in the St. Timothy vegetable garden, learning about our local watershed and care of water, and tending native plants in the St. Timothy rain garden.

Confirmation

Confirmation at St. Timothy involves meeting on Wednesday evenings during the 7th and 8th grade years. During these times we learn an overview of the Bible and topics including the 10 Commandments, the Sacraments, serving others, and relating these to our daily spiritual life. In 9th grade, students meet one-on-one in monthly with an adult mentor, looking at worship, service, and faith in daily life. Finally, in the fall of 10th grade, students meet together with their parents to plan for confirmation, as well as writing faith statements.

Summers

St. Timothy has a rich history of summer camp ministry, trips to the boundary waters, and service trips for youth. Look for announcements about upcoming trips this year
