For the month of June, on Wednesdays at noon (or as close to that time as you can manage), you’re invited to pause and pray, knowing that your St. Timothy community is praying with you. Here are some words to guide you today:

A prayer for today, at the start of Pentecost

Holy God, in these Pentecost days,
You promise your Spirit: a Comforter and Advocate,
who by wind, fire and the moving of our inmost hearts,
would shape us to be your people.
Send your Spirit now—
to disturb us where we are too comfortable,
that we might in turn advocate for your justice in our world.
Send your Spirit now—
to surround us in your holy presence where we most need care,
that we might live be grounded in your love and peace.
Send your Spirit now—
And may your mysterious grace unfold in our lives.
Amen.
