Pentecost Promise

In the Pentecost story in Acts 2, Peter quotes this: “God declares, I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.”

As you listen to neighbors, what is on their hearts these days?

I cherish the Pentecost promise that God will pour out God’s Spirit upon all flesh. There are no divisions in God’s generosity because of the Spirit for people of each gender, age, class, ethnicity, and race. What would that look like now?

Is there a connection you sense between what is on the hearts of your neighbors — and the wide promise of the Spirit?

As we seek to share good news (personally and as a congregation), what is one way you see God’s Spirit at work now?

People of St. Timothy, when there are so many concerns, one way I center myself is simply to breathe in (receive God’s Spirit), and breathe out (share God’s Spirit), recognizing we are all connected in the Pentecost promise.
